INITIAL SPUNBOND SUPPORT LAYER
Initial support layer where big, charged particles are screened off.
- Strong tensile strength layer provides superior pleating & support.
- High permeability, but creates initial filtration layer – protecting from large/charged particles.
- Hydrophobic fiber coat has very good washing properties.
2-10μm PARTICLES
ELECTROSTATIC PREFILTER PROTECTION LAYER
Blocking layer effective at trapping greater than 2 micron particles. These very fine fibers are densely packed, combing the air, and trapping particle.
- Serves as an upstream blocking layer protecting downstream layers from large particles.
<2μm PARTICLES
ELECTROSTATIC FILTRATION FUNCTIONAL LAYER
Larger fibers with medium density channels allow the air to flow with turbulence, trapping particles less than 2 micron.
- High-loft, thicker electrostatic layer provides maximum filtration with high permeability.
